The 30th Annual Webby Awards
When The Webby Awards asked the Red Antler team to brand their 30th Annual show, we knew the work had to be worthy of the occasion. It was a privilege to define a milestone moment for the institution that celebrates and shapes internet culture.
We started by crafting the theme: We Made It. It’s a rallying cry that invites every nominee, winner, and fan to feel like a co-author of the internet's best. We Made It is endlessly layered: a declaration of achievement, an assertion of the internet’s communal nature, a recognition of our shared responsibility for AI, and a subtle wink at the Webbys having made it to thirty.
Visually, the challenge was making an identity that's undeniably current (to frame the year) while totally distinctive (to earn attention). Our approach was irreverence, tactility, and daringly outlandish assets. A saturated palette cuts through in any environment. A bold slab typeface commands attention. Liquid chrome 3D frames act as a unifying, memorable device. And to fuel the feel of celebration, we created digital centerpieces: a delightful set of AI-rendered jello molds, each eccentrically packed with references to culture, nomination categories, and the Webby award itself. Our work spanned social toolkits, motion guidelines, nominee and winner assets, and the hero video that kicks off the awards night.
